The PG exam Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of medical education and research (JIPMER) is a national level entrance test organized every year to provide admissions to PG degree course offered by JIPMER located at Puducherry and Keulakkunram respectively. The examination is very competitive one among over 40000 candidates appearing for around 200 seats which is normally limited by the number of students enrolled each year.

The JIPMER PG examination covers subjects of human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, community medicine, forensic medicine, pharmacology, pathology, and general medicine and surgery, all based on the Syllabus studied during the MBBS course. The test structure includes 200 multiple choice questions and students will be given a time limit of 3.5 hours to complete it. The rule of the deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong response is used. 

A month from the date of the exam, the top rankers in MDS (Community Medicine) are being selected JIPMER PG exam results are declared. Out of the above mentioned candidates, the ones who pass through counselling rounds composed of different levels get the seat to the college of their choice. Answers regarding JIPMER PG 2024 timetable are 1st week of June 2024, whereas results may be announced during last week of June 2024. Communication process starts in July. Seat allotment depends on the candidate's choices, the highest rank he/she gets, the availability, and the reservation parameters and many other issues.

How to Download Old JIPMER PG Admit Card?

1. Get to the official JIPMER website (www.jipmer.edu.in).

2. On the first page, move your mouse pointer over to the "Examinations" tab or go straight to the exam section.

3. See link to your admit-card to do the required downloading. It may happen that the admit cards for the exams which are running right now are in a different place from the admit cards for exams which have already been held

4. If there is no option to check the sampled cards directly, click on the PG section, and you will land to the exam/year page you applied for

5. For scheduled exam, there should be a downloadable admission card or hall ticket that can be accessed by clicking the link. 

6. If so, type that in and enter your login if required. A case number, date of birth, and possibly other specific details may be required

7. Just having your card should be adequate for this stage after which you can proceed ahead with printing and saving it as a PDF.
