The Joint Entrance Examination Council of Engineering (JEECE), which is a state level entrance test conducted broadly in Jharkhand yearly, is used for granting admission into different undergraduate engineering and technology programs offered by institutes and universities in Jharkhand. The exam is held by the Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Jharkhand (JCECEB). JEECE is a widely-applied admission test for engineering courses in Eastern India with lakhs of students applying for this paper annually.
The science exam JEECE consists of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, that are based on the multiple-choice questions. In the exam itself, there won’t be a negative marking. Following the release of the JEECE results and naming of the merit rank, students are consequently offered admission into B.Tech/B.E. programs that cover various fields such as computer science, mechanical, electrical, electronics & communication, and civil amongst others among the participating institutes.
JEE Advanced is the entrance examination for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), which are among the most prestigious engineering institutes in India.
The eligibility criteria can vary, but typically candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects are eligible. There are also age and attempt limits.
Applications are usually made online through the official JEE Main website during the registration window. You'll need to provide personal details, academic information, and upload required documents.
As of my last update in September 2021, candidates were allowed to attempt JEE Main a maximum of three times in consecutive years. However, there might be changes, so please check the latest information.
While coaching can provide structured guidance and practice, it's not absolutely necessary. Many students prepare on their own using study materials and online resources. It depends on your learning style and the resources available to you.
The JEE Main score is calculated based on the normalized marks obtained in the exam. The formula can vary based on the difficulty of the exam.
There are several recommended books for JEE preparation, including books by authors like H.C. Verma, R.D. Sharma, and P. Bahadur. It's important to choose books that cover the JEE syllabus comprehensively.
