The Nationwide Common Entrance Test of Indian Maritime University (IMU CET) is the annual central entrance examination, which is conducted by the Indian Maritime University (IMU). Its aim is to select the students for admission into different undergraduate and postgraduate maritime courses at the IMU and its affiliated institutes. The integrating role of CET for IMU students is in testing the ability of candidates in subjects like English, general aptitude, and mathematics/physics/chemistry/biology for the respective programs. Above 26000 units take IMU CET annually.

The IMU CET 2024 notification is expected to be out in the months of December 2023 scrolling IMU. It officially will be out on the main page of IMU. The exam is likely to be scheduled in the month of June, either in the second or third week for the academic year 2024-25, i.e. the academic session beginning 2024. Applicants are notified within 10 days after the completion of an entrance exam. The candidate can check this website often to be up-to-date with the regular changes on the exam date and other details. The candidate will have one year duration from the result announcement to get registered to participate in IMU CET. It is, for some, a life-defining test and a gateway for appointment to a top position in the maritime hierarchy. Documents Required for IMU CET Exam Registration 2024

- 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates: Ensure you make scribing copies of your 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and passing certificates ready when you are registering the course.

- Recent passport size photo: A photo in the size of passport size digital color photo is needed recently. The user is presented with specifications for the photo usually in the application form. 

- Valid ID proof: ID proofs like Aadhaar card, voter ID card, driving license, PAN card etc. need to be sent for verification before finalizing the process.

- Payment proof: Scan and put a copy of the payment receipt into your e-application deposit after paying your application fees also. The provisions for application fee payments include net banking, debit/credit cards etc.

- Reservation category certificate (if applicable): It is compulsory to have the caste/category certificates, which signatures are earnest by competent authorities, in order to take admission under such reserved categories such as SC/ST, OBCNCL etc.
