AP DEECET (Andhra Pradesh Diploma of Elementary Education Common Entrance Test), which is actually organized by the Department of School Education, Government of AP for admissions to D.El.Ed. programs at DIETs (District Institute of Education and Training) in the state, is an entrance test. The test I shall be conducting is to screen the candidates of those interested to pursue the 2-year D.El.Ed program which in turn allows such candidates to teach primary/upper primary classes.

AP DEECET is a complex exam which includes objective type questions on subjects like Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, English/Telugu and General Knowledge. The final selection criteria will be based on reference candidate's score in the exam and their level of achievement. The successful ones will be admitted to various DIET institutes. The exam will be timed for two hours. 

In addition to the date, AP DEECET 2023 will be conducted on June 3 and the results will be announced on June 20 by the Department of School Education, the authority conducting the exam. The first stage of AP DEECET 2024 application process might tentatively start around March 2024 and the final test can be expected to be held probably in May/June of 2024. The results usually are expected within3 weeks after the exam was taken.

AP DEECET Reservation of Seats 2024

The AP DEECET Reservation of Seats 2024 provides reservation of seats for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). The total percentage of reserved seats is 60%, with 15% reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC, and 10% for EWS. The remaining 40% of seats are open to candidates from the general category.

Documents Required for Apply AP DEECET Exam 2024

- 10th Class / SSC Mark Sheet: Scanned certification or mark sheet of your 10th standard/SSC school grade.

- Intermediate or Equivalent Mark Sheet: I want to enclose a copy of my Intermediate Exam mark sheet or any other equivalent certificate of yours.

- Aadhar Card: Scanned  copy of your Aadhar card as a proof of Idenity and date birth.

- Caste Certificate (if applicable): Scanned copy of the caste certificate having been issued by competent authority if the reservation category is to be applied.

- PH/Differently Abled Certificate (if applicable): In case you want to submit the documents under PH/differently abled quota then please provide us the scan of the relevant certificate.

- Income Certificate: Income certificate scan copy for those applying in BPL (Below Poverty Level) category.

- Passport Size Photo: Kindly bring the soft copy of the latest passport size photograph for uploading at the Immigration counter.

- Signature: Soft copy of your signature in cursive style for signing on a webpage.
