The Diploma program in Optometry is a one-year certification course based on the field of ophthalmology and vision care. In optometry, the task of the professional is concerned with the testing, identifying, treating, and monitoring of diseases and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and the associated structures.
Diploma is the training program that takes care of topics like anatomy and physiology of eye, optics, refraction, diseases of the eye, contact lens, low vision aid, ophthalmic dispensing, optics and dispensing, orthoptics, optometric instruments, community optometry, and clinical optometry. 1. Education Qualification
Applicants have to have passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics as major subjects from a recognised board for becoming eligible for admission in Optometry Diploma course.
2. Minimum Marks
The concerned board should release the rule that students will get admission after completing 10+2 with total marks of 50 percent. In some cases, academic institutes tend to set a cutoff percentage for admission purposes.
3. Age Limit
Generally you cannot find any specific upper age limit for an application to a diploma course. However, the students we offer are required to meet the minimum age requirements set by the academic institution, which is 17 years or above normally.
4. Medical Fitness
