Diploma in Health Inspector is a full time 1 year diploma level course with major aim to prepare health inspectors in the field of sanitation, hygiene, diseases control and health promotion. The course helps to equip students with the knowledge, which includes areas such as environmental science, epidemiology, food safety, legislation in public health etc. to allow the students to become health inspectors and supervisors in private, state, and municipal sectors. 

The total time taken to complete the Diploma in Health Inspector course is 12 months out of which at least 6 months are dedicated to the practical sessions in community medicine, food inspection, water analysis, etc. Some of the entrance examination accepted for admission in Diploma in Health Inspector are NEET, state level paramedical common entrance tests, individual institute level tests and merit list of qualifying examination like class XII in science or equivalent diploma holding candidate. The eligibility criteria also entails that the candidates should have atleast 50% aggregate in their Class XII examination with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects for general category candidates.

2nd Semester Principals of Epidemiology and Epidemiological Methods The study of the distribution and determinants of health and disease in populations.
