Bachelor in health care management (BSc in health care management) is a 3-year bachelor’s degree which focuses on a number of issues of healthcare administration and management. Students here are taught subjects like health quality and its economics, health insurance policies, planning and management of hospitals, health laws and ethics, etc. 

The study program involves introduction to management as a discipline – organizational behavior, human resource management, operations research, accounting, etc. The course includes the areas of healthcare management such as healthcare delivery systems, healthcare financing, health information systems, quality management in healthcare . The BA Health Care Management degree course lasts for 3 Years consisting of 6 semesters. The eligibility condition is +2 after completing your 10th from a recognized board.

Step Description
Meet the eligibility criteria. Most universities require candidates to have passed 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% from a recognized board of education. Some universities may also require candidates to have a specific score in Mathematics or English.
Apply to the university of your choice. You can apply to universities online or offline. If you are applying online, you will need to create an account and fill out the application form. If you are applying offline, you will need to download the application form from the university website and submit it by mail or in person.
Submit the required documents. The required documents may vary from university to university. However, some common documents include:

BA Health Care Management Course Eligibility 2024

1. The HSC or equivalent with a pass in any stream from a reliable board.

2. At least 50% of marks are required at +2 (45% for the reserved category students).

3. Those who have successfully achieved higher academic levels of diplomas in a related discipline will also be recognized.

4. One of the most deterrents of this is the fact that some colleges conduct their own entrance exam for admission.

5. The candidates choosing to run for the office should be medically fit.

6. There could be age restrictions that mention upper and lower age limits which may be different for each college/university. Generally speaking, the legal age requirement starts from age 17 and ends around 30-35 year old.

7. For example, students can get an immediate admission in some private colleges without 10+2 exam but government-funded colleges would want the students to undergo a competitive exam.

8. Aside from UG students at the last stage of their degree, i.e. appearing their final year 10+2 examinations, those who already have the final marksheet may also be eligible, provided they submit the same at the time of admission.

9. While some colleges will request you to send the necessary documents on the day of application e.g. marksheets, school leaving certificate, medical certificate, and so on, others may ask for them at a later date. 

10. Reservation category students should have certificate proving the category to seek the benefits.

BA Health Care Management Entrance Exams

UGAT: The UGAT, an assessment tool that is conducted by AIMA, tests students on their subject-wise aptitude, which includes subjects such as English, Mathematics and General Knowledge by virtue of being in the healthcare management studies domain.

NPAT: The NMIMS Programs After Twelfth is a gateway to the NMIMS University that has on offer BA Health Care Management and there are various other courses as well.

DUET: The all- India entrance test of Delhi University comprises of the four sections i.e. General Awareness, English Language, Numerical Ability and Logical Reasoning which will be quite useful for the healthcare management students.

SET: There are 3 main subjects, namely, General English, Quantitative and Analytical Ability, which are evaluated by SEAT paper. This is an indicator of the need for healthcare management education.

IPMAT: Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test conducted by IIM Indore is a gateway to the admission of students into IIM’s integrated courses. It is designed for managers, not caregivers, to analyze competence in the spheres of the quantitative, verbal, and logical reasoning skills common in medical leadership.
