Dr.S Agunthala Veltech Dr. Rangarajan and Sagunthala Research and Development Institute of science and Technology which is the Deemed university in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India ranks among the top in India. The institution was created in 1990 to provide programs on engineering, technology, management, science and humanities at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Institute primarily concentrates on research, development and interdisciplinary studies.
Among the B.Tech courses which students can enroll in at Vel Tech are the B.Tech programs of Civil, Electronics and Communication and Mechanical engineering. in the fields of both Computer Science and Engineering and Marketing, in which I will be pursuing an MBA. The B.Tech. the CSE, among other topics, brings forward subjects like Programming, Data structures, Algorithms, Database systems, and Software engineering. The majority of the examinations are held in the November and April sessions, which are the two major exam periods every academic year. In MBA In Marketing, subject areas such as consumer behavior, brand management, digital marketing, and marketing analytics are included. Students have to prepare for the exams that are held in December and May.
For the class of 2024 incoming students may start appplicating from October 2023. The selection is made based on performance in numerical test of the Entrance Exam or in the JEE Main/CAT or State Board Grade 12 exams. Of all those who make it to the final, interviewers have a chance to determine suitability for the course through personal interviews. The next academic year is expected to commence in July, 2024.

- For BTech programs: Essentially passed the 12th grade or equivalent with at least 60% marks in physics, chemistry and maths.
- For MTech programs: Bachelor's degree in the field pertaining to engineering with 60% or above marks. One of the vital requirements of pursuing eligibility for some specific MTech programs is also GATE score validation.
- For BSc programs: 60% marks in maths/biology/computer science as per the related program after passing out of the school level (10+2/equivalent).
- For MSc programs: A Bachelor's degree in science discipline is necessary to be able to pursue the program. Minimum 60% marks required.
- For PhD: A good Bachelor level degree in either Engineering/Science (with a minimum of 60%) marks. The candidate should clear the validated GATE/NET examination to apply.
Additionally:
- It is waived off the restrictions of the students who fall under the privileged category.
- That being said, there is still a route of getting a lateral entry to the second year of BTech programmes, by passing the first year.
