- The admissions are usually taken in the year from June to July most of the time. The university will announce a notification regarding the specific dates when the application will be opened and how to apply.

- In order to apply, the candidate should have passed the Bachelor’s degree in any stream with not less than 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy) category).

- This generally involves taking the Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS EdCET) administered by Telangana State Council of Higher Education. There is no way that the candidates can avoid this exam, they have to apply for it and sit for it.

- Candidates will be selected and called to the counseling session for seat allocation based on the TS EdCET ranks and the cutoff marks. The candidates must clearly mention their preferences at the time of counseling only.

- There are class wise and category wise reservations as per the government rules – like 25% for girls, 3% for the disabled etc. 

- The total intake capacity in all the affiliated B.Ed colleges would be done at the time of issue of notification by the university.
