Gondwana University is one of the state universities in the state of Maharashtra, India, located in the district of Gadchiroli. It was started in the year 2011 under the Government of Maharashtra and it has affiliation with University Grant Commission (UGC). The university has been credited as ‘B’ accredited of NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). According to the NIRF rankings of 2023, Gondwana University has achieved the 151th position among all the universities of India.

It provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in various faculties of arts, sciences, commerce, law, education, management and many others. Some of the popular course are BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MSc, MCom, LLB, BEd, MBA etc offered in both regular mode as well as distance learning mode. As for the admission process, it should be noted that the admission to the 2024 academic year will start no later than May 2023. Computer-administered tests: June, 2023 and Test results: July, 2023. The process of admission includes registration, uploading the documents and taking an entrance test and going through the counseling sessions.

It has an active placement cell that assists companies to conduct campus interviews to recruit capable and talented candidates. The industry has some of the major recruiters such as Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and many more. More than 80% of the first offered students were placed in 2022 with an average salary ranging between Rs. 3 lakhs per annum to Rs. 8 lakhs per annum based on course. The maximum salary package offered at the campus level was Rs. 12 lakhs of the annual scale. The placement cell also offers training to the students to enhance their aptitude, technical skills, soft skills in order to enhance their employment opportunities.

Gondwana University Placements 2024

Gondwana University has presented a very efficient placement cell to provide job offer for the candidates. The placement drive in the year 2022 had in excess of 75 companies including TCS Wipro Infosys Cognizent and many more offering employment to 65% of the eligible students. The top recruiting company was American Express which offered a highest salary package of Rs. 18 lakhs per annum and the average salary package offered was Rs. 4.2 lakhs per annum. This year, about 80 percent of the companies were IT service sector firms, which included Accenture and Tech Mahindra as well as core engineering companies like L&T. Pre-placement Offers: More than 30 students got pre-Placement offers also along with average packages of Rs. 3.5 lakhs to 4 lakhs per annum. In general, the placement cell prepares the students for career through internships, skill development programs and by inviting the best players in the market right from the industries.
