CUAP, the Central University in Anantapur will begin its full operations and will become the homes of over 5000 students. It was founded in 2015 as an up-to-date campus to provide bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees at the undergraduate-postgraduate-doctoral levels in a wide variety of disciplines such as sciences, humanities, social sciences, and interdisciplinary studies. 

CUAP focuses on inclusive and equitable education by ensuring affordable quality education is given to students who are from and whose communities are exposed to the challenges of poverty and social disadvantage The university is going to welcome new subjects and courses which are the underlying grounds of new concepts like data science, climate change, sustainability, etc. Outstanding changing is going to come in the course of increasing research equipment, center of excellence and MOUs with top universities.

Central University of Andhra Pradesh Eligibility Criteria 2024

For UG programs:

Candidates are required to clear 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks, 45% for the reserved categories.

Be fulfilling in criteria of subjects for specific programs can also apply.

For PG programs: 

At least Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject along with the marks of 50% (45% for reserved categories).

There might be other programs wherein admission test clearing is needed apart from the general criteria.

For MPhil and PhD programs:For MPhil and PhD programs:

Master's degree from the concerned field with above 55% marks (50% for deprived category). 

Passing the university exam also played an important role as one of the main prerequisites.

Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) gives different Graduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral programs across the disciplinary spectrum including sciences, social sciences, humanities and interdisciplinary studies. Some major courses are classified as BA (Hons) in English, BSc in Physics, MSc in Chemistry, MA in Economics, MCom, Ph.D. programs in different departments, 5year Integrated MA in English and 4year BS-MS dual degree programs.

Central University of Andhra Pradesh Admission Process 2024

1. Application Form:

Candidates will submit their applications either through online or offline (manual) ways. They fill in the application form, which is available both at online and offline (manual) ways. You should consider April/May the application form to be posted on the university.

2. Entrance Exam: 

Some programs award a doctoral degree after passing the entrance quals test written by the university. Some programs, however, have set up admissions criteria that are based upon merits of the qualifying examination score.

3. Eligibility Criteria and Selection:

Candidates personal information will be entered on two forms, one for general registration and another for specific eligibility criteria such as the marks of the qualifying exam or percentile, subject specialization etc. 

Participants will be selected based on the criteria of merit, and entrance exam merit list. Each program attaches the weightage for both qualifying exam scores and entrance exam and may not be the same for other programs.

4. Counselling and Admission:

Those who make the cut will be interviewed in thesequence of their merit and the seats that are available in the specific subject field in which they have applied.

The session where candidates go through document verification, pay fees and get admitted finally is the admission session.

The last years graduating batch from Central University of Andhra Pradesh has witnessed amazing placements with over 85% of the student getting the job through campus recruitment. Many of the major Indian recruiters who visited the fair belonged to the top institutions in IT field like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Cognizant and in Engineering area such as L&T, Tata Power, Adani Group as well as the more prestigious Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like ONGC, BHEL, IOCL. The highest salary package of Rs 26 l that was offered was at the same time the average salary of Rs 7.2 l standing at the same place. The university has the highest number of companies participating in placements with 175 companies so far with 423 students been placed across varied profiles adhering to the record of the batch graduating in 2024.
