For BSc programs like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, the eligibility is passing 12th in science stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks. For BA in subjects like History, Political Science, Bengali, eligibility is 12th pass in any stream with minimum 45% marks. The university offers around 70 courses across faculties of science, arts, commerce, engineering & technology, education, etc. Important exam dates for 2024 admissions are - WBJEE exam date is April 2023, JEE Main January & April 2023. For UG arts, science, commerce courses, the admission process starts in May 2024 through online registration and application form submission on the university portal. For BEd & engineering courses, admissions are through state/national level entrance exam scores. The final admissions are granted based on merit, eligibility criteria fulfillment, availability of seats and counseling rounds.
