Bankura university is one of the state public university which is located in Bankura, West Bengal. Founded in the year 2013 and has been duly accredited from the University grants commission (UGC). It has got the grade B accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the year 2020, situated at Bankura University. As per the NIRF rankings for the year 2023, the Bankura University has secured its position in the rank between 101 to 150 among the universities in India. 

It consists of educational faculties and departments for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level studies in arts, commerce, science, education, engineering, and other fields. Some of the most famous courses are the undergraduate programs such as BA, BSc, BCom, postgraduate programs like MA, MSc, MCom, BEd and MEd, BE/BTech, MCA, MBA, etc. Admission procedure generally commences in the month of May for the next academic year starting from July. Students from computer science engineering stream had been offered an average pay package in the range of 3-4 LPA with an average pay of The highest salary package has been up to 12 lakh per annum. The trend analysis of placement data collected from the Bankura University reveals that the organization has been experiencing an upward trend in placements. The overall campus recruitment drive for the academic year 2022 saw 64.90% of the eligible students getting selected through the campus interviews conducted by various companies. Tata Consultancy Services Company, Wipro, Infosys and Cognizant were the major recruiters who offered the major number of jobs which were mostly in the field of Information Technology and Software Industry. The maximum salary offered by various companies reached up to Rs 10 lakh per annum this year. Thus, the approximate remuneration for the employees across branches was nearly Rs 4, 00,000 per annum. A total of over 500 students got placed in some of the best companies in 2022. By enriching the curriculum and vocational training, Bankura University plan to enhance the major placements in the successive years by incorporating more numbers of renowned organizations from diverse fields.
