Tripura Joint Entrance Examination (TJEE) is a state level entrance exam that is organized by the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination for those students who opt for the engineering, technology, veterinary science, agriculture, fisheries, and other degree programmes from which they want to get themselves admitted at the Tripura professional colleges. Launched in 2017, it provides the college entrance exam for students who apply to various college and degree courses with one exam.
The test evaluate students’ knowledge of physics, chemistry, and mathematics up to Class 12 will be conducted. The test is based on pencil and paper, lasts 3 hours and is administered without the students' electronic devices. The question paper is framed in two languages, i.e., English and Bengali. On the basis of marks secured in the Tripura JEE and ranks, students are given seats through the process of counseling. About 15,000 students compete for the exam recurrently.
