RRB exam is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board for appointing candidates in the Technical post of Senior Section Engineer (SSE) in Indian Railways. The RRB SSE exam is one of the leading railway recruitments exam which is attempted by lakhs of engineering graduates annually. The process includes two CBT-1 and CBT-2 tests, document review, and medical examination, and medical examination.
The CBT-1 exam is designed to cover areas such as general knowledge, logic, numeracy and areas of science. Candidates who are selected for the job sit for the CBT-2 exam that covers technical competence and job expertise regarding the different engineering fields. Competition is tough which makes the examination difficult as RRB SSE promises a promising future, job security, and a good pay for those fortunate to be selected.
RRB SSE exam results are released after the RRB SSE exams are conducted and take about 2-3 months on average. For the 2023 SSE exam, the CBT-1 result was announced in December for lakhs of candidates for railway jobs. The TA posts final selection list is as per the document verification exercise which is likely to be between March-April 2023. RRB SSE notification of the next time is expected to be in mid-2024 and the exam dates may be in November-December, 2024 based on the past pattern. Medical fitness, success rate in the Prelims and Mains exams are some of the ways for selecting the deserving candidate.
