RRB Junior Engineer (JE) Civil Railway Recruitment examination is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board for the recruitment of Junior Engineer in Civil Engineering sector of Indian Railways. The RRB JE Civil test has three levels, namely the first level is the Computer Based Test (CBT-1), the second level is the CBT-2, and the third level is the document scrutiny. The CBT-1 is an objective type examination consisting of one hundred questions from the spheres of general awareness, numerical aptitude, general intelligence and reasoning, and general science. There is a second stage known as CBT-2 in which candidates who have passed CBT-1 sit for 120 objective questions on Civil Engineering. The final process is done through screening of the documents and medical examinations.
The RRB JE Civil recruitment 2024 exam notification is yet to be released, but it is likely to be released in mid 2023. As discussed earlier, the CBT-1 exam should also be expected in August-September 2024, as per the previous years’ trend. The general candidates may be expected to score around 40-45% for the test to be cut off. The final result of RRB JE Civil 2024 exam is expected to be released in early 2025, however, this may take a different turn if there is any delay. However, regarding the actual exam dates, the number of vacancies, and other details, RRB is likely to provide clear details in the official notification that will be released for the 2024 examination in 2023. The books that are particularly recommended for use when preparing for RRB JE Civil include R. Agor Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering by S. C Rangwala, and a guide published by Khanna Publishers among others.

The official vacancy numbers for the RRB JE Civil Exam 2024 haven't been released yet. However, based on the previous year's announcement, we can expect around 1300-1500 vacancies for various Indian Railway zones. The exact distribution will be available in the official notification, expected soon.
