The PU LLB entrance exam is administered by numerous law universities and institutes in India for the entry in the 5-year integrated LLB program after passing the 12th standard. PU acts as an equivalent of the 10+2 level or is popular as the Pre-University in some states. The integrated LLB program lets the students complete their three years bachelors' degree in just 5 years after 12th grade, thus less duration than the regular three years LLB studies after graduation.
The selection process includes the acceptance of the students upon performance in different spheres including the legal aptitude, reasoning, general knowledge, current affairs, English proficiency through multiple choice questions and essay writing. Different colleges have their own standardised tests which may be similar but slightly varied in terms of the exam pattern, topics and the difficulty level. Time of the exam is between 2 hrs. Round 2 is usually when the candidate will take a one-on-one interview or participate in group sessions.
The issuance of 12th class results is a prerequisite because of the provision stipulating a minimum of 45-50% aggregate marks in 10+2 classes from a recognized board. The national elimination exams will take place between April and June 2023. Respectively of the terms of the Law universities exam and application procedure will be announced 6 months in advance the official websites of the legislations authorities.
