What is NEET MDS?

NEET MDS 2024 Eligibility

The NEET MDS 2024 result is not yet released. It is expected to be released in March 2024. The result will be released online on the NBE website.

The NEET MDS result will contain the following information:

  • Roll number
  • Name of the candidate
  • Category of the candidate
  • Total marks scored
  • Rank
  • Category rank
  • All India Rank (AIR)

NEET MDS 2024 Result

  • Nationality: Indian citizen, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), or Person of Indian Origin (PIO)
  • Educational qualification:
    • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a recognized university.
    • Provisional/permanent registration with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC) by June 30, 2024.
    • Completed or are likely to complete the 12 months rotatory internship on or before June 30, 2024.
  • Age: Minimum 20 years as of December 31, 2023

NEET MDS 2024 Counselling & Seat Allotment

The NEET MDS 2024 counselling and seat allotment process will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling process will be conducted online.

The counselling process will be divided into two phases:

  • Phase 1: All India Quota (AIQ) counselling
  • Phase 2: State Quota counselling

In Phase 1, the candidates will be ranked on the basis of their NEET MDS scores and the availability of seats in AIQ colleges. The candidates will be allotted seats in the order of their rank.

In Phase 2, the candidates will be ranked on the basis of their NEET MDS scores and the availability of seats in state colleges. The candidates will be allotted seats in the order of their rank and the state of their choice.

The counselling process will be conducted in a number of steps:

  1. Registration: The candidates will have to register for the counselling process on the MCC website.
  2. Choice filling: The candidates will have to fill their choices of colleges and courses.
  3. Seat allotment: The candidates will be allotted seats based on their choices and the availability of seats.
  4. Document verification: The candidates will have to verify their documents at the allotted college.

NEET MDS Seat Allotment 

The NEET MDS 2024 seat allotment will be done in two phases:

  • Phase 1: All India Quota (AIQ) counselling

In Phase 1, the candidates will be ranked on the basis of their NEET MDS scores and the availability of seats in AIQ colleges. The candidates will be allotted seats in the order of their rank.

The number of seats available in AIQ colleges is 50% of the total number of seats in MDS courses in India.

  • Phase 2: State Quota counselling

In Phase 2, the candidates will be ranked on the basis of their NEET MDS scores and the availability of seats in state colleges. The candidates will be allotted seats in the order of their rank and the state of their choice.

NEET MDS 2024 Reservation 

  1. Scheduled Castes (SC): A percentage of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste category.

  2. Scheduled Tribes (ST): A percentage of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe category.

  3. Other Backward Classes (OBC): A certain percentage of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes category.

  4. Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): A reservation might be provided for candidates from economically weaker sections as per government guidelines.

  5. Persons with Disabilities (PwD): There's usually a reservation for candidates with specific disabilities, as defined by the Disabilities Act.
