The LIC ADO exam is said to be conducted by LIC that recruits candidates for the post of Apprentice Development Officer. This is one of the most frequently held examinations by LIC that is used to recruit young talents and extend training to them and later join them as Development Officers. The LIC ADO exam has a Preliminary round, the Main round and then the Interview. The preliminary exam contains written tests including objective questions which check the candidates’ arithmancy, logical thinking and language proficiency. Those who clear this stage are allowed to sit for the main exam that comprises of MCQs and descriptive questions to test a variety of skills they need for the ADO position.
Candidates who successfully complete all the stages are offered an interview with representatives of the senior officers of LIC. The final list of selected candidates is compiled according to the candidates’ total scores obtained from the main examination and the final interview. According to the examination schedule, the pre- examination of LIC ADO 2024 recruitment is going to be conducted in July 2024. The result is released within one month of examination or within the date specified for the particular course. Out of these ADOs, a selected few are trained for 1 year and then taken permanently into the marketing division of LIC.

1. Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Age of 21 to 30 years and for the general category as on 1st January 2024. Relaxation for reserved categories.
- Education: Pass in the final examination of the degree course from any university recognized by the university Grants Commission or any other awarding university established under any act of the parliament.
2. Application Process
- The notification shall be placed on the official website of the LIC and such website is licindia.in. Go to the site and check for the information that have been updated.
- Since there are many details provided in the notification regarding the submission of the online application form, please fill in the application before the deadline.
- The application fee is Rs 750 for general obc candidates whereas the SC/ST and pwd candidates are exempted from the application fee. Concessions for reserved categories.

4. Exam Pattern
- The first part of the online examination is a 200 questions MCQ test – comprising of questions on Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and General Awareness/Financial Awareness.
- They include general English, reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude and the knowledge of life insurance and financial sectors – mains exam has objective and descriptive questions.
5. The following examination preparations should be made diligently, with emphasis on; aptitude, English language, insurance knowledge and computer literacy. Sometimes there is nothing wrong with using previous years copies of the question papers which are most of the time available online.
