KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) conducts KPCET (Karnataka Post-Graduate Common Entrance Test) as an eligibility test to get admission into Mechonia, M.Arch, MBA, MCA, ME/ M.Tech (Part-Time) and M.Pharma courses from the universities and institutes affiliated with KEA. The exam is made up of multiple-choice tests in basic skills such as general aptitude, maths, and topic knowledge related to the field chosen. Such exam is taking place yearly after making registrations in February. 

PGCET 2024, which is scheduled to take place in the first or second week of June 2024, will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. Registration is planned from February to April, 2024 with the details being provided later. The test results for the PGCET exam will be published within a month post the test. Selected candidates will only be eligible to participate in the KEA counseling after the declaration of the PGCET result by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) based on their scores, choices, category, and others. The KEA counseling is expected to finish by July 2024, and the academic year 2024-2025 will begin.
