The MCA Entrance Examination of Kerala (MCAEE) comes under the permanent and governmental channel of the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala who serves as the conduit of admission to first year MCA programs offered by various colleges of Kerala. The MCAEE is designed to measure a candidate's mathematical, statistical, computer skills and critical thinking ability necessary to complete an MCA degree, as the program requires.
The MCAEE is a 2-hour pen-paper test with 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs) divided into four (4) sections, i.e— Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Awareness, and Logical Reasoning. Here, admissions are given on basis of both marks of the candidate in this exam and his/her undegraduate academic performance.

- Arrive the center of examination at least 30 minutes prior to the examination. This will enable me to pace myself and eliminate any rush or stress that is associated with being late. Try to will bring hall ticket/admit card along with you.
- It is most desirable to avoid slip-ups like carrying mobile phones, plasticware, cars, or papers to the examination hall due to security scanning. Carry only permitted items
- Wear nothing fancy as you will dictate the mood of the day. To avoid heavy jewelry that could distract you or be uncomfortable for sitting for long hours of the exam please try to eliminate or minimize any distractions.
- Don't forget to your identity and hall ticket while you are in the exam center. They must be checked several times.
- Assure yourself that you have already got familiar with the exam duration, number of sections, types of questions, and will pay attention to them in order to be better prepared. Read all instructions carefully.
- Maintain a sense of decorum throughout the exam hall - no talking or sidebanter. Don't lose your concentration in your pursuit of a spectacular performance.
- Should you experience any problems with the exam paper, allocation, or seating arrangements, please let the invigilators know at once.
- Plan your time well to tackle questions one by one if there is a time limit imposed. Once you have gone through every question carefully, try to find the answers.
