The Kerala MCA (Master of Computer Applications) Eligibility Criteria for 2024 outlines the academic and qualification requirements for candidates aspiring to pursue MCA in Kerala. It is an entrance test across Kerala being conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala for getting admissions to first year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree course in the colleges of Kerala. The exam is taken yearly in May normally in the form of paper and pencil. It is an offline test. The test lasts 2 hours, with multiples of 120 questions from subjects like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer awareness, Logical Reasoning and General English. The minimum criteria for appearing in the test is a degree of B.Com with mathematics as one of the subject either at 10+2 or graduation level. The ranking lists are prepared for the general category and reserved category after the entrance exam is over and students have their marks assessed. Next, the orientation sessions will be organized which will include the method of seat allotment and admission formalities. 

The foreseeable time of the Kerala MCA entrance exam 2024 as per the exam calendar is about the end of May 2024 i.e. 4th week of May 2024. Thet end result is declared typically within a week of the test date. All those who are designated as selected candidates have a time till the last week of June to confirm their admission otherwise the seats get remitted to the next deserving candidates as per their rank list. The MCA-2021 batch of the batch generally starts the academic session from the second week of July every year.

Kerala MCA Reservation of Seats 2024

The Kerala Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) follows a reservation policy for admission to MCA programs in the state. The reservation policy is as follows:

Documents Required for Kerala MCA Exam Registration 2024

- Provide 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates to prove legitimacy and academic qualification.

- Certify of graduation and mark sheets if you have completed your bachelors already. Awards of the provisional certificates could be given to candidates of the ongoing final year exam.

- Age, identity-related like Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving licence, passport etc. are some of the proofs issued by government agencies. 

- The recent passport size photos.

- Permanent domicile certificates can be useful to fulfil the requirement of reservation benefits/concessions for certain categories.

- Copy of SC/ST/OBC certificate if admission is sought under reserved categories by an applicant.
