JSAT Eligibility Criteria 2024: Marks & Direct Admission Check at @jgu.edu.in

Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test

The Joint Entrance Examination Screening Aptitude Test (JSAT) is an online engineering entrance examination which is administered by IIT Roorkee with the intention of screening candidates eligible for competing in JEE Advanced. JSAT performs the function of an emulator test and admits to JEE Advanced admission only those top 2,50,000 candidates ranking in JSAT to appear for the JEE Advanced.

The JSAT is the 3-hour test with 90 questions from the subjects of physics, chemistry and mathematics. It has the curriculum designed to allow students to master the topics and skills that are crucial in these areas. The two most striking aspects of the JSAT exam are negative marking, emphasising critical thinking skills, and comprehensive inclusion of the 11th and 12th CBSE syllabus.

The result of the JSAT will be decalred about a week after the examination, which is available to be downloaded from the official website in form of a rank card. Although students must clear JSAT minimum rank cutoff for JEE advanced registration, they are at a disadvantage as their rank is at the lower side of the spectrum. The test paper is going to see the light of the day in the last week of April or the first week of May 2024. The outcomes of this referendum are expected to be declared the second week of May 2024. The examination times of JEE Advanced provide students with approximately 1 month of advance preparation in case they receive favorable results from JSAT. JSAT being a crucial part of JEE, its score thus is extremely important for the engineering candidate’s overall JEE journey.
