HPU BEd course admission test is held every year for students who want to join 2 years BEd degree offered by colleges affiliated to HPU, Himachal Pradesh. The BEd course equips the future graduates with teaching skills that are relevant to various secondary and upper secondary school teaching positions. 

The testing during the HPU BEd admission is the multiple-choice objective type covering teaching aptitude, reasoning ability, mental ability, English comprehension, Hindi perception, and the extent of general knowledge of the candidates. For 2024 Entry, the announcement is usually posted in March-April which consists of exam date, eligibility criteria, syllabus, and exam pattern, etc. The exam is non-computer based and is to be conducted on June in specified centers at district level. 

The results of the entrance test usually will be announced within 1 month after exam. Scheduled candidates are called and they have to sit for counseling as per their merit rank ‘as well as availability of seats across all BEd colleges’. The past years' trends show that the 2024 sessions got started from August-September 2024 onward. The program gives attention to the theory and methods of pedagogy, exposing trainee teachers to different teaching approaches inclusive of practical teaching experience provided in approved schools by qualified personnel over 4 semesters.
