Graduate National Institute of Hotel Management Joint Entrance Test or GNIHM JET abbreviates to a national-level competitive test to secure a seat into the top hotel management institutes in India. The CBET is being carried out by the NCHEMC (National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology). The GNIHM JET is that it assesses whether candidates can apply reasoning, are logically competent, and have the knowledge for the hospitality and hotel management course. 

It is unlike the state-level entrance examination which is held twice a year for admission into the institutes offering hotel management bachelor's program. The test skills are multiple choice questions in mathematics aptitude, reasoning, verbal and analytical ability, English and overall awareness aligned to the hospitality industry. According to the latest GNIHM JET 2024 notification, the candidates have two dates of the exam, i.e., April 12, 2024, for the first session and June 14, 2024 for the second session. The timelines for result declaration are generally anywhere between 10 days to a month after the exam. In 2023 the state of affairs was the fact that there were over 25,000 applicants who appeared for the GNIHM JET across India. Online system is opted to conduct exams using computer-based test mode.

Documents Required for Verification after GNIHM JET Seat Allotment 2023

- JET admit card: The admit card that will be issued for GNIHM JET probably will be asked to show to prove one's identity and credentials to be checked.

- Class 10 and 12 mark sheets: The certificates of 10th and 12th exams (at least) may be used for the purpose of verifying the educational qualification. Coming along with few attested photocopies will

- Degree certificates (if applicable): The expectations increase for candidates who have already completed graduation, and original and attested documents of the degree certificates must be provided most probably. 

- Reservation certificates (if applicable): Any confinement from reservation categories like SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS etc. by the nominee, required to be presented as genuine or authenticated copies

- Domicile certificate: In order to verify the candidate's state of domicile issued by the appropriate authority, original or attested copy of domicile certificate may be required to be produced as the proof of domicile.

- Passport sized photographs: At the time of registration, a few stamps of passport size pictures may be needed for relevant formality purposes.

- Government issued photo ID: Either an original and valid photo ID as Aadhaar card, driving license or voters ID or significant details like residential address and contact information of the candidate will be required to verify candidate's identity.
