Film and Television Institute India (FTII) entrance exam is the annual entry test designed for postgraduate diploma admission into this institution in Pune. An institute renowned as one of the most prestigious film institutes in India, the number of candidates already exceeds by far the number of places available. The FTII entrance exam which evaluates candidates on general knowledge and their basic aptitude towards filmmaking and media, is the first step for winning the battle. 

The examination system has a written test that is used to assess the candidates on their IQ level, reasoning ability as well as the command of the English language. From the shortlisted batch of candidates, then they go through to a first round interview that assesses their passion and desire for a professional career in movies/media. Last but not the least, those who have been shortlisted can now continue with Diploma specialisations, such as Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Sound, Art Direction and others.

The notification that indicates the FTII 2024 entrance exam will likely release in Dec 2023/Jan 2024 and officially declaring the application process, eligibility criteria, exam dates, and format. The screen tests for FTII 2024 is going to be in the month of Feb-April 2024 in various cities of India and then the interview will come afterward. Result of last FTII 2024 selection which also contains the names of selected candidates can be expected by June 2024 at the institute's official website. The batch joining in August 2024 has admitted the selected students. The competition is perhaps even more with only some 100 seats whereas thousands of people apply to FTII every year.

Documents Required for FTII Entrance Exam Exam Registration 2024

- SSC mark sheet and passing certificate of the academic year in which I was in the tenth class. 

- 12th grade certificate and passing certificate / mark sheet.

- The original degree certificate and mark sheets (for the PG Course/Program).

- If you are applying under reserved category then having caste certificate (if applicable).

- Category "Non-Creamy Layer" certificate (in the case of OBC candidates).

- Income certificate (if the document is of you are eligible for concession fee).

- Aadhar card

- Passport size photographs

- NOC certificate (for general and OBC candidates with employment status of central/state government departments) 

- That's one of the evidence of birth from proof. 

- In case a person with a disability needs special accommodation or care, a medical certificate can be presented.
