The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) conducts an annual national level competitive examination known as DRDO Stenographer exam in order to recruit the candidates for the post of Stenographer in various DRDO laboratories throughout India. To be specific, the exam is a computer-based test and a skill test for the candidates, who pass the CBT. The computer-based test gives the general intellectual ability of the candidate, English, and numerical abilities of the candidate. This exam can only be taken by candidates who have passed 12th standard to be eligible to seat for this exam.
The DRDO Stenographer Grade II recruitment of 2024 is expected to be advertised in the newspapers and the authorized website in November/December of the year 2023. The test based on the use of computers is expected to take place in February of 2024. The CBT result for the DRDO recruitment is expected to be released in March, 2024 at the official website of DRDO- www.drdo.gov.in. Competent candidates will sit for the skill test in the next examination session, which is between April and May in the year 2024. The candidate students expect the final merit list in June 2024. Finally, the chosen applicants shall be offered the position of Stenographers at the DRDO labs; the positions are remunerative in accordance with Government norms. The selection process as a whole is designed in such a way that it will help to source and select suitable stenographers for assisting the research activities in DRDO.

Completing sentences with appropriate words or phrases.
Stenography (English & Hindi)
Shorthand Theory & Principles:
Knowledge of shorthand symbols, abbreviations, rules, and principles for English and Hindi shorthand systems.
Dictation & Transcription:
Dictation passages at various speeds and complexities, covering diverse topics. Candidates will transcribe the dictated text accurately and within the stipulated time limit.
