The Chhattisgarh Pre BEd (Bachelors of Education) exam is a state-level entrance test organized by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) to provide admission in colleges offering BEd programs from different parts of Chhattisgarh. The test is conducted for the purpose of selection of students for admission into a 2-year BEd program, through which the intending teachers will be prepared to teach the upper senior secondary classes. The TCS ION CG Pre-Ed provides the candidates with general aptitude, teaching aptitude, general awareness, and subject proficiency questions through multiple-choice questions in a computer-based test. 

Unsurprisingly, it was in 2023 that the number of students sitting the exam crosses the line of 65,000 with the June sitting. As per schedule, the announcement for the CG Pre BEd 2024 exam dates is to be done by CGPEB anywhere between March-April 2024 with the exam planned between May-June 2024. Results of CG Pre BED examinations are done but within 1 -2 weeks of the test. These students who have been selected join the counseling process thereafter for BEd admission. The candidate should have pass in the Bachelor’s degree of corresponding subject with the minimum requirement of 50% marks (45% for the reserved candidates) in the appropriate university. Success in the college state council selection test for the BEd program and a candidate's academic records ensure a seat in the BEd program through the counseling process.
