CCMT or the Common Counseling for Medical Teachers is an entrance examination that Indian students undertake for admission into postgraduate medical colleges. This is a medical entrance exam organized by NBE for the students seeking admission in post graduate medical courses in MD / MS / PG Diploma in government and private medical colleges in India. It is advisable to write the CCMT exam in the early months of the year, the exam is usually held in March or April each year. The exam is an online computerised test, which is one of the key reasons why the process of training is deemed efficient. The exam consists of 300 multiple choice questions and the candidate will be provided with 240 minutes for answering to the paper. 

It assesses the theoretical knowledge in medical and surgical specialties including Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Radiology, Psychiatry, Skin & VD, Forensic Medicine, Community & Social Medicine, Anaesthesia, ENT, Eye, Community Medicine and Pathology. The result or cut off marks of CCMT 2023 is expected to be released by the second week of May 2023 on the official website of NBE. All students passing the exam along with other conditions provided they are eligible, will be called for counselling sessions where they get their seat allotment in medical colleges in India depending upon their rank and the choices they have opted for. The CCMT exam date for 2024 is not available yet but this test is conducted every year in the month of April and the year 2024 is also expected to follow the same trend. This registration is normally done 3-4 months before the actual examination date each year.

1. Registration: The best way to sign up is to visit the official CCMT website at http://www.ccmt.nic.in and look for the registration link. While creating an account please ensure you include your name, date of birth, phone number and other essential details to obtain your login credentials.

2. Application Form: Visit the CCMT 2024 official website and enter your login details to continue with the application form. Ensure the details provided are correct and in line with the academic year and choice of institute/branch. Make sure that all the details that you have provided are correct before submitting.

3. Uploading Documents: Scan the required documents like photograph, signature, GATE score card & category certificates if any etc. as per the size mentioned above. 

4. Application Fee Payment: Submit the CCMT 2024 application fee through online mode by using the option of Credit/Debit card, Net Banking etc and preserve the receipt generated.

5. Choice Filling & Locking: To do this, first log in and then properly write down the choices of institutes and branches in the sequence of preference. Use these techniques before making the final decision.
