The national level BEET examination is conducted by the association of biotechnology entrepreneurs, ABLE, for students candidates who have taken the decision to pursue undergraduate degree courses in the field of biotechnology at different colleges spread around the country. The main goal of BEET is to determine the academic proficiency and the passion of an applicant for an ever-evolving biotechnology discipline. The subject matter of the exam consists of brainteasers such as biology, chemistry and physics, as well as analytical skills and aptitude.
The BEET exam is held annually, that is, the time is normally May. The exact date of 2024 BEET exam is not availed from ABLE yet but normally occurs in the second or third week of May. The 3-hour, hand-written,and pencil-based test contains 200 multiple choice questions. As far as the recent years are concerned, the entrance test conducted in 2023 had 1.25 lakh students who had appeared for it. The results are most likely to be placed within a month of taking the exam on the official website. Some chosen candidates would participate in the process of counselling and will be allocated their seats after filling all the available capacities under preferences, rankings, reservations and availability.
