AEDEDT (Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test) is a state-level examination conducted by the government for admissions to Bachelor in Education course. Bachelor of Education program process is available in different teacher training colleges (TTC) in Andhra Pradesh. The contest is being regularized by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education). The exam is conducted once annually as an online test and the candidates are evaluated on their subject knowledge in Telugu Language, proficiency in General English, knowledge about Telugu Culture, General Knowledge and their reasoning ability.

The AP EDCET 2024 exam is likely to be taken in the months of June 2024 and the mode of the exam will be online as it has always been in prior years Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year will most likely be accepted starting from April 2024 while the results for this application process are expected to be released in July 2024. The candidates who have reached the required marks in each category of the exam and according to the rule of quota will get admissions allotment letter for taking part in the counseling. The ultimate college assignment as well as the colleges' allocation will be determined using rank in the said exam, choices that have been captured in candidates application and on the availability of seats as well as the existing rules of reservation. Minimum Qualifying Marks	General Category: 50%, SC/ST/BC: 45%
Normalization of Marks	The marks obtained by the candidates in each subject will be normalized using a formula based on the difficulty level of the questions and the performance of the candidates in that subject.
Ranks	Ranks will be assigned to the candidates based on their normalized marks.
Tie-Break	In case of a tie in ranks, the candidate with higher marks in the Teaching Aptitude section will be given a higher rank. If the marks in the Teaching Aptitude section are also equal, then the candidate with higher marks in the General Mental Ability section will be given a higher rank.
Validity of Rank	The rank obtained in the AP EDCET 2024 will be valid for one year only.
