AIIMS MBBS (Medical/Bachelor of Surgery) is one of the best the national medical college entrance exams. The Entrance exam for MBBS is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. It is a qualifying examination for getting admission into the undergraduate medical programs offered in all AIIMS institutes within the country.

This Medical entrance exam is configured around science such as physics, chemistry, biology. Also, education about general knowledge. The exam consists of two phases. Topic one contains objective questions whereas topic two is objective questions dealing with students' analytical and problem-solving skills. Revolutionary improvement in the medical education sector has resulted in over 3 lakh applicants for AIIMS colleges every year, and the acceptance rate can go down to 0.1%. 

The exam usually dates which take place in May or June. The date for the AIIMS 2024 MBBS entrance examination has not yet been announced and may probably be around in mid-June 2024. The results are usually announced within a month of the examination, so that candidates get to select their programmes for study after shortlisted candidates have individual counselling sessions before the final admission. In the selection process, the scores for the class 12th board exams are also considered.

AIIMS MBBS Exam Day Guidelines 2024

1. Get to attend the examination center at least 2 hours before exam time. This makes respect for time of not only passengers but also airport officials and maintenance staff easier. Carry valid ID proof.

2. If you do not hold or bring any electronic equipment, mobile phones, calculators, or digital watches to the exam room. Fewer items are allowed as only Admit Card, ID proof and approved stationary.

3. Sponsor lightweight attire such as a top and half sleeves on it. Do without any posh attire and fashion accessories. Follow prescribed dress code.

4. Wearing mask, hand sanitizing and carrying water bottle in transparent bag will be per protocol. Follow COVID-19 protocols.  

5. You should always read carefully the instructions given on Admit card and Question Paper. Note the correct roll number, test series along with other details correctly on OMR sheet carefully.  

6. Allot a time to yourself and be discerning about the right questions to ask. Finally, Mark should fill in the answers altogether on OMR sheet using black ball point pen. Please make sure that you neither fold nor damage the OMR sheet.

7. Ensure discipline in exam centers. Do not take actions that can bring you in the field of the breaking rules and malpractices which may serve disqualification.  

8. If any queries/issues arise during the exam, to immediately refer to the invigilator for settling and resolution. Do not panic. Stay calm and focused.
