Post Graduate Diploma in Material Management is a one-year program designed for professionals in the field of material management and covers the strategic areas of procurement, logistics, vendor management and warehouse, inventory optimization, and supply chain management. Some of the subjects include Operations Research, Production and Inventory Control, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing & Stores, and Total Quality Management. 

The entrance tests that are allowed for admission in Post Graduate Diploma in Material Management programme are CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, and MAT. Some institutes also have criteria of passing marks in graduation and the tests held at the institute level also. References in the application of employment experience in supply chain and operation will help to strengthen the application for the program. The fee structure varies from INR 30,000 to INR 5 lakhs depending on the institutions the program is being offered.

1. Must have passed the bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in any stream with minimum of 50% marks. 

2. Minimum 2 years’ work experience in Material/Inventory or Procurement functions in Manufacturing/Trading/Service Industry.

3. It is available for the fresh graduates but possessing work experience in the relevant field is considered advantageous. 

4. This course does not limits the age of the candidates who can apply for this course. 

5. Final year under graduate students who are appearing for their final examination can also apply. 

6. In terms of the admission policy, the course is offered on merit basis with consideration being given to the results of the personal interviews.
