MPEd, also known as the Master of Physical Education, an a 2-year postgraduate degree program in India that produce teachers and coaches of PE and sports. Students obtain knowledge of theory and the proper methods connected to physical education, health, and fitness, sports science, sports management, and research as well.

Selection criterion prescribes one to have at least a bachelor's degree in physical education with minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Some universities may accept applicants who already hold a bachelors’ degree in the sports disciplines or related ones.

Master of Physical Education [M.P.Ed] Admission Process

- Eligibility: Bachelor qualification in physical education with no less than 50% (45% for reserved categories). Some Universities might have special criteria on top of the ones which are already documented.

- Entrance Exams: Large numbers of universities admit students basing on grades in the PET, SET, NET or other particular tests, conducted by the institutions themselves. Others admit directly on merit, whether it is general or technical.

- Course Duration: Primarily, 2 years full-time. In a few universities, students can be considered part-time or to participate in distance education as well.

- Total Credits: Different institutions can design their own programs including 60-70 credits tabs in 4 semesters. Such study could comprise theory courses as well as practical/field work.

Bachelor's Degree: Interested candidates should have a minimum degree of Bachelor in Physical Education from a reputable college.
