The MBA in event management is a post graduate full time management program of two years duration aiming at providing training to the students in the core business skills in addition to the concepts and understanding of event planning, creation, marketing and management. It presents a good balance of general management education but gives more focus on courses such as project management, event operations, risk management, vendor relations, sponsorship, marketing communications and others.
The candidate seeking admission in an MBA in Event Management should have passed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. The entrance exams that are considered for admission in the program are CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, GMAT, and the state level test MAH-CET. A work experience is not compulsory, although exposure to the industry will enhance one’s application. The requirements for admission include Tests/Standardized scores, Academic Performance, Entrance Tests, Statement of Purpose, Letters of Recommendation, and Interviews. Upon completion of the program, graduates are capable of performing professions such as Event Managers, Wedding Planners, Exhibition Managers, Meeting Planners among others.
