The Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology is a course that paraprofessional aids take and they are fully trained to operate all the necessary procedures in the laboratory. The schedule of the program is usually for 1 year.

Certificate Course in Medical Laboratory Technology Admission Process

1. Eligibility -PASS with 50% marks in 10+2 in the science stream having Physics, Chemistry and Biology With. Besides students taking 10+2 examinations can also have the chance of applying.

2. Age Limit - The threshold age being 17 years. No upper age limit. 

3. Admission Criteria - In the event of 10+2 exams lateral entry or entrance test being conducted by institute. The application process also involves some institutions' conducting of individual interviews.

4. Application Procedure – Either online or offline application by filling in the institute's electronic (or offline) application form. Application fees may apply. Attach necessary documents.

5. Extension - it is a 1 year certificate with theoretical knowledge and practical training. 

6. Syllabus - Subjects comprise of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Blood Banking and Molecular Biology etc.

7. Careers Development - Careers in pathology as laboratory technicians, assistants, sample collectors in hospitals, clinics, health centers, and diagnostic labs etc. Continuing master studies is also an option.

Certificate Course in Medical Laboratory Technology Eligibility

1. 10+2 pass in Science stream such as (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) with a proper recognition.

2. A minimum of 50% mark in a tenth grade and (45% for reserved category students)

3. Eligible to enroll if one completes 17 years of calendar year as on 31ST December of admission year.

4. Medical Clearance - Applicants should be in good health, without any serious disease or impairment that will impede the execution of tasks.

5. The good vision is another requirement. The students are going to work in the lab as well as operate the equipment. Hence, they should have the normal vision abilities (like eye tests/medical certificate should be available)

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test): To take the Medical Laboratory Technology ( MLT ) courses in India, the candidates will be required at the first place to go through the examination of science subjects like physics, chemistry, and biology.

AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) Entrance Exam: Undertaken as entrance into all medical programs which consist of testing candidates' aptitude in science topics and general information.
