The Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology is a course that paraprofessional aids take and they are fully trained to operate all the necessary procedures in the laboratory. The schedule of the program is usually for 1 year.
Students get to know the different departments being in a pathology lab like the patient sample processing, hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology and many more. The virtual learning platform consists of not only theoretical knowledge but also practical and hands-on training. The Main Points to be Covered are Lab Safety Protocols, Specimen Collection & Processing, Using lab Apparatus & Techniques, Specimen Staining Process, and Analytical Procedures on Blood, Urine, Sputum Samples for the Disease Diagnosis.
