The degree of Bachelor Science in Cardiac Technology is a 3-year full-time undergraduate program dedicated to providing training for students interested in assisting cardiologists with the diagnosing and treating of heart diseases. The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in anatomy and physiology of the Cardiovascular system, along with the procedures including ECG, treadmill test conduct, Holter monitoring and echocardiography training too.

Students practice with the use of procedure like defibrillator administration, ventilator systems, pacemakers, and automated cardiac monitors. The program consists of the training on the practical works like performing non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests and assistance during therapeutic and surgical procedures that are performed in the hospital internships.

BSc Cardiac Technology Admission 2024

1. Educational Qualification

Both the candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) from a recognized board with minimum aggregate 50% marks in Science score. As such, other institutes prefer to add Mathematics as a subject in the 10+2 curriculum as well.

2. Entrance Test  

Conscientious colleges are the ones that create their own entrance examination. Every common entrance exams such as NEET UG are important. The selection of the candidates depends on the outcome of the examination. Therefore, qualified candidates are gave their chances for counseling and seat allocation. 

3. Age Limit

Majority of colleges require applicants to be at least 17 years on 31st of December in their admission year. The upper age limit range varies from one institute to another.

BSc Cardiac Technology Course Eligibility 2024

1. A 10+2 pass or equivalent from a Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects passed from a recognized board. 

2. Likely, ranges for minimum mark in 10+2 may be from 45-60% or more.

3. Similarly, the minimum marks required by some colleges in four subjects namely: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology individually can be 50%. 

4. The diploma graduates in Cardiac Technology qualify to take the lateral entry to be admitted in the 2nd year of the course. 

5. Medical fitness without any medically irreversible defect or disability. May require medical certificates.

6. The age limit is generally 30 years old either colleges but it is possible that it will vary. 

7. Others offer direct entry to students who fetch the minimum scores in entrance exams administered by the tertiary institutions themselves.
