The Bachelor of Planning (BPlan) refers to a 4-year undergraduate program of urban and regional planning taught by many colleges and institutes in the national country. The main purpose of BPlan program is to educate the students about the planning concepts and techniques like urban, rural, and environmental planning. Through this course, the students will gain the ability to plan for the sustainable and organized spatial growth and development. 

The diverse nature of the courses involved in the BPlan curriculum includes economics, planning theories, planning of transport, housing, and infrastructure, as well as the practical training through studio courses, field trips, internships, and then a final dissertation project.

Bachelor of Planning Admission Process

Step Description
1 Meet the eligibility criteria for the B.Plan program.
2 Register for and take the entrance exam(s) required by the colleges you are applying to.
3 Submit your application forms and portfolios to the colleges you are interested in.
4 Attend personal interviews (if required).
5 Wait for the admission results.

Bachelor of Planning Eligibility

Educational Qualifications: Have a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent, usually 12 years of formal schooling.

Age Criteria: Normally open to individuals above the age of 18 years and this age may, however, vary from one institution offering this course to another.


Work Experience: While not always obligatory, some BPlan courses may favor applicants having work experiences in which these are related to business or entrepreneurship.

English Proficiency: Show competency in the English language through standardized tests such as TOEFL or IELTS, especially the ones who are from overseas.

Entrance Exams: Some institutions might require candidates to take particular entry tests that have been designed to measure the level of aptitude in business subjects.

Letters of Recommendation: Include recommendation letters from teachers or professionals who know you well and your potential in launching a business or working in the field of entrepreneurship.

Personal Statement or Essay: Ask them to write a personal statement or essay indicating their motivations, career aspirations, and how the BPlan course is a part of their long-term goals.

Bachelor of Planning Entrance Exams

GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test): Evaluate the quantitative, verbal, analytical writing, and integrated thinking abilities.

GRE (Graduate Record Examination): Assess verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking aptitude.

CAT (Common Admission Test): Undergo a test inclusive of mathematical capability, data analysis, verbal skills, and reasoning abilities for management course in India admission.

MAT (Management Aptitude Test): Determine the math, word, and analytic skills that are needed for studying management and business subjects.

CMAT (Common Management Admission Test): Project involves the application of quantitative tools, data interpretation, understanding of the language, and testing of general awareness as part of the process of admission to management institutions in India.


NMAT (NMIMS Management Aptitude Test): Do language skills, quantitative skills, and logical reasoning assessment for FYJC NMIMS University and other B-school in India.
