In India, B.Pharm is considered a 4-year long undergrad program. It mainly delves into the study of the pharmacy as well as the pharmaceutical sciences. The curriculum became the first one in the state in the year of 1937 that was formally announced when the Banaras Hindu University established the first BPharm program.
The BPharm duration and syllabus were adjusted as well and standardised on the basis of the national Pharmacy Council of India guidelines. The 4 years are further divided into 8 semesters, and the students start their study with the core subjects. These subjects are, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmaceutical analysis, and more as they progress semester-wise.

1. Achieve the 10+2 or higher in science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Maths) by recognized school board, you will get the minimum of the 50-60% total aggregate marks
2. Sit for pharmacy entrance examinations such as NIPER-JEE,GPAT, for other colleges admission is offered through 10+2 marks.
3. Choose among the colleges/universities which you qualify through your scores in merit exams or entrance tests. Keeping in mind that the institute should be recognized by PCI and AICTE.
4. In case of being chosen complete your application by paying the fee for admission and following the other instructions specified by the college.

- Transfer certificate
- Migration letter or confirmation or as the case may be.
- Entrance examination result slip, if it applies.

6. Make an appearance for the orientation/ induction program and during the same time ensure that your B.Pharma registration is being finalized. By doing so, your course will officially start immediately. Keep the requisite attendance standards which fulfill the requirements of the Institution/PCI.
7. Do so annually by the registration/promotion form filling the procedure for the 4-year B.Pharma curriculum.
1. Passing either the 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics as one of the core subjects. The minimum marks a student should have obtained cumulatively in the above-mentioned subjects is 50%(45% for reserved category candidates).
2. Showed up for national or state level entrance examination for example, NIPER JEE or GPAT. Sometimes, colleges allow direct admission for students who have good 10+2 marks.
3. The board would be required to provide the age completing 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of entry into college. They have not set any upper age limit.
4. An applicant who had cleared the college/university (e.g. Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU OET) entrance test would be considered qualified.
5. For Indian NRI/foreign candidates - May complete 10+2 or equivalent examinations in optional subjects with English language as one of the language subjects. Have to fill up a form offered by the college under their reserved seats.
MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test): MHT-CET measures the level of knowledge in physics, chemistry and biology, which are commonly used by admitting students to BPharm colleges in Maharashtra, India.
GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test): GPAT examines pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology and chemistry widely recognized across India for entering into BPharm courses.
