Automotive Engineering is a B-Tech course of 4 years duration, which deals with the designing and production of motor vehicles including cars, trucks etc. along  with the operation of these vehicles. Students are imparted knowledge on different mechanical and electronic systems in the automotive vehicles by the integration of classroom lectures and practical laboratory sessions.

The curriculum is a mix of topics such as engine design, body design, power electronics components, battery technology, combustion and exhaust systems, chassis and transmission systems, vehicle dynamics, safety systems, CAD/CAM and many others. Along with that, the students are also expected to know and understand more elementary engineering subjects such as: mathematics, physics, material science, thermodynamics, and so on.

Step Description
1. Eligibility Pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Some institutions may require a minimum aggregate score of 60%.
2. Entrance Exam Appear for an entrance exam, such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or BITSAT.
3. Counseling Attend counseling and choose your preferred institutions and programs.
4. Admission Admission will be granted based on your rank and the availability of seats.

BE Automobile Engineering Course Eligibility 2024

Educational Qualification: Students should be able to successfully complete the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a legitimate board which will ensure that Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects are taken.

Minimum Marks: Generally, professing to getting an aggregate score of 50%-60% is the requirement which candidates need to fulfil in their qualifying exam even if they pass their other subjects.
