Top B.Des Colleges in India Eligibility Criteria

1. National Institute of Design (NID) - Please have class 12th with having not less than 50% marks. These will have to write NID entrance test. CV and a portfolio containing the proven creative skills should also be attached.

2. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay - After clearing Class 12th (PCM group) with a minimum 60% mark. Conditionally should JEE Advanced and/or UCEED exams be spared from the process of qualification. Data analysis and problem solving ability as an essential skill.

3. Industrial Design Centre (IDC) IIT Bombay- This class of diploma leaves students armed with Physics, Chemistry & Maths, which is needed with 60% marks. Whether it is clearing the UCEED or the CEED entrance exams becomes the focal point of my college application. Talents such as critical thinking and creative designs are being tested.

4. Design Department of Institution of Technology Guwahati - It is necessary to get 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths to apply for the DOD of IIT Guwahati. One of the important things students should be focusing on is taking the UCEED or CEED entrance tests for design. Creative aptitude required.

5. Applicants must possess a pass certificate of 12th grade from any stream with a minimum score of 50% marks at MIT Institute of Design (MITID), Pune. If you take and prove that you are creative during MITID's own entrance exam, then you have a higher chance of qualifying. Good visualisation skills required.

6. School of Design: Shiv Nadar University, for 12th pass students in any stream or Science with minimum 60% marks. University students needed to have their creative ability measure upon pass of their entrance test. Good knowledge initial in visual arts essential too.
