 Established in 1981, Venkateshwara Open University in Andhra Pradesh, India is a top-notch institution that offers open and distance education at affordable and accessible rates. The university provides such programs namely bachelor degrees, master degrees, diplomas, and certificates across disciplines including arts, science, commerce, education, and law. The offered programs include two popular ones for the bachelor's degree in economics, history and literature and for the master's program in accounting, finance and business management. Usually, they are organised in June and December of each year. The admission process for the 2024 session begins in May 2024 and it includes registration, application submission, entrance test clearance and merit basis allotment.

Venkateshwara Open University Eligibility Criteria 2024

Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board to be qualified to pursue undergraduate programs. For the postgraduate programmes, applicants should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in the related discipline from a recognized university.

Minimum Marks: Generally speaking, there is a no minimum requirement for the percentage to be considered eligible for admissions. The requirements may vary from course to course. Candidates should become familiar with them.

Age Limit: Students at any age are welcome to enrol in the majority of the admissions. But there may be some highly specialized programs with an age limit up to which candidate needs to check.

Entrance Tests: Admission is without exams in it. Applicants are admitted, based on educational qualification, specialization and available seats.

Venkateshwara Open University Application Procedure

1. Go to the official website of the university: www.vou.ac.in

2. Click on the "Admissions" link and then select the "Apply" option for the desired program that you wish to attend.

3. Select the right application category (fresh applicant, existing applicant) that is your requirement.

4. The first step is to fill up the online application form by furnishing all the necessary information such as personal details, academic records, test and program details etc.

5. Upload the scanned copy of your photo, signature and other related documents such as certificates.

6. Submit the application fee payment using the online payment methods either credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.

7. Carefully check all the details you have supplied before submitting the VOUV Application Form.

8. When submitted, we will give you an application number. Make a note in here for all future references and communication.

9. Then you have to hand in your print out and the same documents that you uploaded to the university office by post/in-person.

10. If chosen, you will be informed about the enrollment with an offer letter from the university.
