The Senate of Serampore College (University) is a unique group of better education positioned in Serampore, West Bengal, India. It became mounted in 1818 by British missionaries and have become a university in 1827. History and Background The Senate of Serampore College became hooked up through the Baptist Missionaries, Joshua Marshman, William Ward and William Carey. It started as a small faculty in 1818 and steadily grew into a faculty in 1837. The school turned into affiliated with the University of Calcutta until 1915 whilst it have become an self sufficient school. In 1920, the British government identified it as a diploma-granting institution. In 1956, the Senate of Serampore College was granted the fame of a university.
