SAUV is a private university that is situated in the city of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Established in 2008 SAUV, which is one of the youngest universities in the region, the one exclusively dedicated to healthcare and medical education. By 2024, the envisaged target is that at least 5,000 students in medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy and allied health programs, both graduate and postgraduate, be in SAUV universities. 

The sprawling 100 -acre campus now houses hi-tech infrastructure which includes a 1000 -bed multispecialty hospital, research centers, and advanced simulation labs. SAUV describes an integrated curriculum, on which practical skills training and actual healthcare experience by the community are put in focus. Partnerships with renown healthcare centres and research institutions across the world offer students a global exposure.

Saveetha Amaravati University Eligibility Criteria 2024

For undergraduate programs, such as BTech, BSc, BCom and so on – students have to have passed previous 12 education stage, 10+2 or equivalent, with minimum 50% aggregate score (45% for the reserved categories).

Acceptable qualifications for postgraduate programs like MTech, MSc, MCom etc. - A bachelor degree in a related field with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories) is required for all students.

In case of M.Phil and Ph.D ( Doctoral) programs - A minimum aggregate of 55% marks in concerned masters’ degree is important. They will also have to sit for an adult test to be conducted by the university; this exam will test for aptitude in research.

For MBBS/MD programs - MBBS - should have passed 10+2 in science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with at least 50% mark (40% for reserved categories). Nevertheless, they must still make through the qualifying NEET examination and then succeed to meet the cut-off scores established by the universities/regulatory bodies.
