- Merit is considered as a key for selection by using entrance tests. The beginning is JEE Mains.

- For taking admission in M.Sc courses, one must have an undergraduate degree in the same discipline (e.g. B.Sc. for M.Sc. in Physics) from any recognized university.

- There is an entrance test where the university conducts for M.Sc admission is the entrance exam. The test covers topics of the postgraduation program that is related to it. On the basis of their outstanding performance in the entrance exams, the candidates who are capable are then called for counseling/admissions.
