Chhattisgarh's Kalinga University Raipur (KUR) is a privately owned university in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. The Institution was founded in the year 2008 under the advice of the Chhattisgarh Private University Act. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. The disciplines in which the courses are offered include - engineering, management, sciences, humanities, and more. 

It is projected that by 2024, student enrollment will reach over 5,000 in courses organized across the 30+ academic majors. Above all, KUR pays attention to implementation of new academic programs in the topical areas like data science, cyber security, IoT, etc. Besides providing traditional courses in teaching/research areas, the University strengthens its standing by promoting the technical and industrial interpretation of the student's education so that the graduate will be professionally ready. Kalinga University Eligibility Criteria 2024

For undergraduate programs: Admission is granted to the class XI or equivalent students with the minimum educational qualifications of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST students).

For postgraduate programs: Bachelor degree (minimum 50% aggregate marks) in the subject field for SC/ST candidates: 45%. Others also could keep some special restrictions for entering.

For Ph.D: The first criterion is Master's degree in the same field of study from a recognized university with minimum 55% aggregate marks ( 50% in case of SC/ST). Candidates are not only checked by admission standard tests and interviews but they also need to overcome the university's entrance test and interview.

Kalinga University Courses Details 2024

Kalinga University at Raipur provides the air-tight slate of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses across the subjects like engineering, management, commerce, arts, science, education and law etc. Some of the most popular courses are BTech, MTech, MBBS, BBA, MBA, BA, BCom, BSc, BEd, LLB, LLM and so on.

Kalinga University Admission Process 2024

1. Application Form: The application form is either filled out online on the university’s website or can be acquired in-person from the university’s admissions office. For instance, the candidate has to put down the basic details such as academic scores and personal details.

2. Entrance Test: The university has its own under-university test (KUEET – Kalinga University Entrance Examination Test) for admissions into some programs. Taking performance in KUEET is given the weightage to offer the admission into the university.

3. Merit & Cut-offs: For programs that do not involve in KUEET, seats are provided based on merit in examinations like Class XIIth scores. Schools set the requirements of the scores which vary between programs. 

4. Counseling: Selected students have to attend counseling sessions where verified documents are submitted, fee is paid, choices are filled and finally the seat is allocated. The availability times are given on the university website.

5. Admission Confirmation: After the completion of allotting the seats to various interested students, they need to pay the admission or semester fees before the stipulated time in order to confirm their admission and to register for their program at the Kalinga University Raipur Campus.

Kalinga University Placements 2024

Kalinga University Raipur has the most efficient placement cell which guides students throughout their career to help them get recruited in top companies. Companies continue to trust the Institution as 215 companies, more than last year's 205, have already registered for placements for the batch of 2024 leavers. The recruiters of prominence are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, HCL, Accenture, Capgemini, L&T Infotech, and Tech Mahindra, persistent Systems. The best package was INR 18 LPA but the general package across branches was INR 5 LPA. Students' exposure to the industry and training over the last two years has been highly appreciated with the placement rate reaching over 85% for the past three years.
