The Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya (HYV) Durg is the latest state-owned university that was established in the Durg administrative area in the Chhattisgarh state of India. Inaugurated in the year 2015, HYV Durg has emerged as the most prestigious higher education institution of the region, providing degree and post degree courses in different areas.

Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya Eligibility Criteria 2024

For BEd program- Graduate degree (BA/BSc/BCom etc.) with at least 50 % aggregate marks are the eligibility.

For MBA courses - The candidate should have an undergraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum average grade of 50% or higher.

For B.Sc. program - Any bachelor's in any stream with at least 50% aggregate marks. Mathematics teaching as one of the subjects for 10+2 or bachelor's degree level is compulsory.  

For MSc programs - A degree in a relevant specialization with at least the required average percentage value of which the program is composed. For instance, MSc/MPhil in Chemistry demands a BSc in the same subject.

For MA programs - Applicants will have to hold a Bachelor's degree in relevant field. For instance, BA for MA English would need BA in English. In most of the programs at least 50% would be minimum aggregated.

Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya Durg achieved fine placements for engineering and management streams in the year of 2024. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Accenture, and Adobe were among the list of those companies who recruited over 90% of the students who participated in placement activities. Among the top recruiters, the names of Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture and HDFC Bank were prominently visible. The best offer was for 18 lakhs per annum.
