 Assam Women's University is the first of its kind women's university in the state of Assam and this is in India as well. This foundation was formed by the state legislature in 2013 whose role is to help increase female education and empowerment. The university has undergraduate and postgraduate courses with woman’s studies as the central component and also as well that is used where professional courses make of some of the platform.

The two core offerings at Assam Women's University include postgraduate degrees in Women's Study and Management of Women's Entrepreneurship respectively. My course, a 2-year MA, deals with subjects that may include issues pertaining to gender roles, women's issues and feminist theories in India and also women's writing. The 2-year MBA program through its classes which includes marketing, business policy, managerial skills and so on, provides knowledge and skills to women entrepreneurs.

Assam Women's University Admission Process 2024

- Generally, the candidates are selected based on merit which, in turn, is determined by their marks in 10 + 2 exams or entrance test scores. Some universities will have an entrance exam of their own.

- University admissions for undergraduates commonly require 10+2 grades from recognized boards like CBSE, ICSE, etc. Minimum grade percentage criteria may be applicable.

- To enter postgraduate study, students generally must have already got a relevant bachelor degree. As they are, entrance exams such as CAT, GATE, may be prescribed for courses like MBA, M.Tech. etc.

- The college normally posts such announcements on their official website about the admission process, requirements for eligibility, and important dates etc.

- Students will fill the form and submit all their academic documents. Additionally, the student may need to pay an application fee.

- Upon the list of admission getting released, the chosen students need to pay the fees and submit the necessary documents within the given timeframe.
