Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), which is the state technological university in Guwahati, Assam, is placed in the city of Guwahati. It was founded in 2010 with the aim of creating a center for both technical and scientific education which at the same time had to carry out research that is of high quality in the state. ASTU has, in place, undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the multiple levels in the fields such as engineering, computer applications, business administration, pharmacy, architecture just to name but a few. Although there are many courses at ASTU, such as ISM in Computer Science & Engineering and MBA Marketing are two of the popular courses offered at the institute. The BTech Computer Science program will features a course on software development, systems design, programming languages, AI, and others. The MBA Marketing program offers knowledge on marketing concepts like consumer behavior, digital marketing, and brand management. The semester examinations in India are mostly conducted during midterm and end-term period in November-December and in April-May. Admission applications for 2024 will be rolled off in May 2023. Candidates, either through direct application online or by submitting qualification documents, should be allowed to register directly. Admissions will follow the merit principle just as it is the case in JEE Mains/ASTU-CEE or other strapping entrance exams. The date that prospective candidates will be writing their exams for the 2024 admissions are tentatively scheduled will be announced on the university website beforehand.

Assam Science and Technology University Admission Process 2024

- Admissions is most often achieved by outdoing yourself in the previous level of study. This is either 12th grade board exams or an entrance test conducted by the university. Some universities have their own entrance assessments to measure a candidate's aptitude for the undergraduate studies.

- Students submit their applications by filling applications forms and uploading the copies of their mark sheets of 10th and 12th standard before the application cut-off date. 

- Upon receiving the applications from the students, then the university make their cut off lists and merit list based on the exam scores and other parameters. Students who get the required score and their name is marked on the list are offered admission.

- Besides academics, many universities also use attainments in other areas like interviews, extra-curricular activities, quotas and others during the admission process.

- Admitted students, have to undertake the payment of the registration/tuition fees to confirm their admission and proceed to the registration process within the stipulated time.
