The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) admit card is an entry ticket for the NEST examination and is an essential document required by every candidate to sit for the examination. NEST is a gateway (Honours) in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, that is conducted by- National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS).

How to Check NEST Admit Card 2024

1. You can visit the official NEST web site, i.e. nestexam.in.

2. Please go to the site as stated for your NEST 2024 admit card. The link will from a few weeks before exam dates be available.

3. Kindly, type in your Application number and date of birth/password.

4. Here, you will be displayed your NEST 2024 admit card on the screen.

5. Take admit card along (by downloading it and taking a print out) and proceed to the venue.

6. Take extra caution to go through all the details on the admit card i.e. your name, number on the roll, exam date, time, venue, etc.

7. Check the exam details from examining authorities in case of any discrepancies.  

8. Keep a printed copy of admit card along with a genuine photo id proof with you while you walk to the exam hall. The id proof type should match the mentioned id proof type on the admit card.

Documents Required For NEST Exam 2024

1. Hall Ticket - Admit card or hall ticket plays a very important role to function for the exam. The students have to obtain it from the internet before the exam and have a printed copy with them on their way to the examination room.

2. Valid Photo ID Proof - Candidates have to carry an original and a valid photo identity proof, for instance, Aadhar card, PAN card, driving license, passport, etc. The admit card along with the identity proof should be kept ready for the exam center. The ID proof ideally should be the same ID proof that was uploaded while the application process in order to ensure a secure verification.

3. Passport Sized Pictures - When the examining center requires representing the candidates, most exam center ask candidates to carry 2-3 passport size photographs. These images are employed for ensuring the accuracy of the materials and their creation of archives. It is recommended that the picture that would be used is the same that was used for the registration. 

4. PwD Certificate- Persons with disability candidates have to bring their disability certificate, which must have been issued by a hospital authority or any other competent medical board, if they have asked for any concessions. The degree of disability entered by a applicant should be as been given during the fill of form.

What is NEST Exam?

The major objective of NEST assessment is to spot and recruit students with a research aptitude for the MSc program in four years where the first two years are devoted to basic sciences and the last two years involve research work for both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS. NEST comprise of physical, chemical, mathematical, and biological tests to be taken by subjects.
